Welcome to the website

Phobjikha Valley is best known as one of the largest high altitude marshes in Bhutan and it is one of the Ramsar sites in the country. The valley is located on the western side of the Black Mountains range in central Bhutan and it falls in the buffer zone of the Jigme Singye Wangchuck National Park. It is also one of the largest wintering habitats of the near threatened (NT) Black-necked Crane (Grus nigricollis). The valley also represents one of the finest examples of the sub-alpine and conifer forests in Bhutan.
